The Quality Control Center of Volkswagen Shanghai was completed late 1999. The main feature of the building is the sixteen-meter-high steel structure. Clear insulated glass curtain walls cover the main south, east and west facades.
16 Meter High Blinds
With the objective to maintain the view to the outside and to optimize energy efficiency, motorized interior roller blinds were chosen to cover the curtain wall. Each blind is 16 meters high, by a width of 1,8 m.
